Dandelion Vineyards is a unique fusion of vineyards and vignerons. Our wines represent decades of experience, blending the fruit of our heirloom vineyards with the finest traditions of artisan winemaking. Dandelion Vineyards is a combination of old vineyards, a young winemaker, and a couple of mates to help out in-between, which we believe makes for the ideal winery.

Our vineyards are our family, their wines our children. Serious stuff, certainly. Proper fun, absolutely. The lifelong search to appreciate and understand the essence of wine, its terroir, leads us on a vinous treasure hunt, following the Dandelion's Wishing Clock if you will, that always inspires.

Mallee Estate

Peter and Eleni Markeas migrated to Australia in the early 1960’s from Kardamili in Greece in search of properous new life. This sunburnt country that they fell in love with gave them the opportunity to work towards their dream of owning their own vineyard and making wine.

After after 30 years of experience developing their vineyards, the family focus expanded to producing quality wines in 1998.

Now the Markeas Family would like to share their dream with you. Try our Australian wines that evoke the atmosphere of Greece and warm evenings in the taverna.

Shinas Estates

The Shinas family heritage is Greek, with wine making stemming back over 8 generations. The Shinas family migrated to Australia in the early 1950’s. Originally they never sold the wines they made, they would consume a great portion of it and the balance of the wine was gifted to family and friends. The demand became so high for Shinas Estate wines from family, friends & local restaurants, that in 2002 Shinas Estate Australia was formed.

To this day Shinas Estate has remained a micro boutique winery making wines the traditional way. Our wine-making secrets and method have been passed down through the generations.
